Dr. Margaret Slaven has been a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in clinical psychology, health, physical medicine & rehabilitation, pain management, psychological and neuropsychology evaluations for over 15 years. Currently she is a member of the medical staff at St. Jude Medical Center, providing inpatient, outpatient and private practice services.
Dr. Slaven in collaboration with a neurology group and some of the nation’s largest pharmaceutical companies is also involved in national clinical trials, working to help patients suffering from dementia and memory issues. Dr. Slaven, using neuropsychological tests is helping to determine the effectiveness of dementia and memory enhancing medications.
In addition, Dr. Slaven is the head of the Fullerton Neuropsychological Services Memory Clinic Program designed to evaluate and aid with challenges in memory due to natural aging, mild cognitive impairment and dementias, such as Alzheimers Disorder. The Memory Clinic Program includes an evaluation, detailed report and an individually tailored 8 week course of memory enhancement techniques and health strategies to improve overall brain health and wellness.
Dr. Slaven received clinical training at University of California Davis Medical Center, Rancho Los Amigos National Rehabilitation Center and St. Jude Medical Center. She is a member of the American Psychological Association and National Academy of Neuropsychology.
